The Phalaenopsis 'Pirate Picotee' is a beautifully elegant moth orchid, showcasing pristine salmon coloured blooms delicately edged with a vibrant, deep pink picotee border. Its refined colouring and long-lasting flowers create a striking display, making it a wonderful choice for brightening contemporary interiors or gifting for a special occasion.

For best results, place your orchid in bright, indirect light. Water when the growing medium is almost dry, ensuring excess water drains away completely. Phalaenopsis orchids thrive in warm indoor temperatures with moderate humidity. Feed every two to four weeks with an orchid fertiliser during active growth to encourage healthy foliage and reliable repeat flowering.

Light

Place in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can burn the leaves.

Water

Water every 7–10 days. Let the roots dry slightly between watering. Never let the plant sit in water.

Temperature

Prefers 18–27°C. Keep away from cold drafts or heat sources.

Humidity

Enjoys moderate humidity, but normal indoor air is usually sufficient.

Potting Mix

Use a special orchid bark mix, not regular soil.

Fertilizer

Feed with orchid fertiliser every 2–4 weeks during active growth.

Pruning

After flowering, trim the flower spike and remove any dead leaves or roots.

Repotting

Repot every 1–2 years or when the potting mix starts to break down.
