The Dendrobium Nobile 'Bright Eyes' is a stunning orchid admired for its elegant white blooms, each beautifully accented with a rich purple eye and soft yellow throat. Flowering along its upright canes, this striking variety produces an abundance of long-lasting blooms that create a spectacular display throughout the home.
To keep your orchid thriving, place it in bright, indirect light with good air circulation. Water when the growing medium is almost dry, allowing excess water to drain away completely. During spring and summer, feed regularly with an orchid fertiliser to encourage healthy growth. In autumn and winter, reduce watering and keep the plant slightly cooler, as this natural rest period helps stimulate the impressive floral display for the following season.

While there are many types, the most common dendrobiums grown as houseplants follow these general care guidelines:
Light
Place in bright light, including some gentle direct morning sun. Avoid harsh midday sun.
Water
Water once a week during the growing season. Allow the potting mix to dry slightly between watering. Reduce watering in winter.
Temperature
Prefers 18–30°C during the day, with slightly cooler nights. Some types need a cooler winter rest to rebloom.
Humidity
Enjoys moderate humidity with good air circulation.
Potting Mix
Use a free-draining orchid bark mix, not regular soil.
Fertilizer
Feed with orchid fertiliser every 2–3 weeks during active growth. Reduce feeding in winter.
Pruning
Do not cut green canes. Remove only dead or dried canes and spent flower spikes.
Repotting
Repot every 2–3 years or when the pot becomes overcrowded.
